What is it, and how does it work?

Here is the eScrip deal. We don't need to do anything at the merchants (such as AMCO Transmissions, Carl's Jr., Eddie Bauer, MAACO Bodywork & painting, Market of Choice, Office Max, Terminix,etc.)

Simply go to www.escrip.com and set up your account. Designate Ad Olam as your beneficiary and then register any credit card you might use at any of the aforementioned businesses.
Every time you shop you shop at participating stores a percentage of the sale goes to Ad Olam.

There are only a few local stores that will matter to us. One can see all the participating stores online. There are also 100's of webstores participating. The percentage to Ad Olam varies with the store and sometimes the amount of purchase.

Market of Choice will donate 2-4% depending on total monthly purchases. Office Max 2-3% depending on whether you use a office max credit card. Eddie Bauer 5%.

For the online retailers you must enter the stores from the eScrip website in order for Ad Olam to be credited.

I hope this is all clear. I registered myself. So 2-4% of my Market of Choice sales should start rolling in.

It can make a significant difference for Rabbi Hanan & the Ad Olam program. With sufficient funding it would:1. provide for much needed bare bones assistance in the areas of part-time clerical and administrative help; 2. grow our branches by expanding and upgrading the existing program, and 3. support our Rabbi, by freeing him up to do what he does best--reaching and teaching.
